Sources may not be complete
While testing SGE, it was discovered that the listed sources may not always be complete. Third-party software Originality detected sources that weren’t included in Google’s generative AI text. For instance, not all sources were credited for an article about Google Bard.
Sponsored results appear above some responses
Some SGE responses may now appear below sponsored results from Google Ads. For example, when searching for the best place to buy a laptop, sponsored shopping results followed the local search results.
More brand websites and social media in sources
SGE’s responses now include official/branded resources when answering queries, such as including Google Support in a search for Google Search Console. Social media platforms are also increasingly included in SGE’s responses.
Speed hasn’t changed much
Unfortunately, while speed was already good, there hasn’t been a significant improvement in this area.

Google SGE shows promise, however, there is room for improvement in regards to complete citations and speed.
